Hold your breath. Fasten your seat belts. Get your popcorn tubs ready. It’s Baahubali time!

The wait is over as the story has already started unveiling its layers. The first glimpse of Baahubali 2 is casting its spell on the fandom. The first look poster of the next chapter, Baahubali: The Conclusion, was released by S S Rajamouli amid huge fanfare at the MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival on Saturday.

With thunderous background, the Baahubali 2 poster makes a roaring entry as Prabhas flexing his muscles with a chain wrapped around one arm while he holds a sleek black double-edged sword in his other arm.

Giving us a one-liner about the next part, the director posted, “And how he (Baahubali) wins the Mahishmati Kingdom with his Unrestrained Power is #Baahubali2 The Conclusion.”

The Baahubali team assured that the film is a just branch of the entire tree of the mammoth franchise. We definitely believe it considering the teaser of the animated series was already pushed on October 1, the comic books and first-look poster was released on Saturday along with the virtual reality experience across theatres with VR booths.

Director S S Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning was a blockbuster in every sense. Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati Tamannah and Anushka Shetty, it is the most appreciated film of 2015. So, naturally, the audience is keenly awaiting its second part titled, Baahubali: The Conclusion . However, they would need to wait longer than expected. The film is now scheduled to release in 2017, as reported by Bollywood Life. The makers have also planned a third film in the Baahubali franchise.

Baahubali 2 is set to release in April

While Baahubali the Beginning, the first film had released a week before Eid, the second film is set to release during Parashurama Jayanti. Although it is a recognised day on Google Calendar, the day has lesser importance in Bollywood calendar, an industry where superstars look forward more to festivals like Eid, Diwali, Christmas and New Year to set their release dates for their film.

However, it looks like, the production team of Baahubali chose an ordinary day to release the sequel to their film. Going by the popularity the film had earned, people are probably ready to set aside any day to find out why a loyal friend like Kattappa chose to kill  a benevolent king like Baahubali.

The first film was smoothly woven with special effects, that most of it seemed real. The film had broken many records, not just in terms of box office but also entered Guinness Book of World Record for largest poster ever which was nearly 50,000 square feet.

The southern magnum opus will cast Prabhas, Anuskha Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraja, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sudeep, Ramya Krishnan, Nassar, Shriya Saran, Rohini, who gained a lot of fame outside Kollywood industry after their popular release.
